Adani Foundation launched Project Swachhagraha for the year 2018, in 200 schools of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh on August 13. The event was held at Lakhiram Smriti Sabhagraha, Bilaspur, in presence of Mr. Aarif Shiekh -- Superintendent of Police, Bilaspur, Mr. ML Patel -- Block Education Officer, Mr. Kashinath Gore -- prominent social worker in the area and Mr. Pankaj Zade -- Assistant Vice President of Adani Enterprise Limited, Surguja.
Swachhagraha was launched with a one-day training programme attended by Teachers and Principals of 150 schools in Bilaspur, who will be joining the movement this year. Swachhagraha felicitation ceremony was also held at the event, where students, teachers and principals from schools in Raipur, Bilaspur and Bhilai were awarded the best Swachhagraha schools. The winning schools were those who have shown exemplary participation in creating a culture of cleanliness in their neighbourhood, schools and homes. Bharat Mata English Medium School Bilaspur, Govt. Hr. Sec. School Chantidih, Bilaspur, Guru Ghasidas Govt. Middle School Kohka Bhilai, Seth Tularam Agrawal Memorial School Supela, Bhilai, DAV Public School ACC Jamul, Bhilai and Govt. Hr. Sec. School Bijore, Bilaspur, were adjudged the winners.
Mr. Pankaj Zade -- Assistant Vice President of Adani Enterprise Limited, Surguja, said, “The Swachhagraha project is perfectly aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. At the heart of this project is the idea of ‘creating a culture of cleanliness’ focussing on behavioural change in the future generations of India.”
